Rohit Sharma will lead the 15-member squad in absence of Virat Kohli for the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, starting on December 20. The first match will be played in Cuttack, followed by Indore and Visakhapatnam. The squad: Rohit Sharma (C), Lokesh Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Mohd Siraj, Basil Thampi, Jaydev Unadkat.

Hales cleared by police, available for selection

England batsman Alex Hales will not face criminal charges over an incident in Bristol in September and is available for national team selection. The 28-year-old opener was with all-rounder Ben Stokes, who was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm during an altercation outside a nightclub. Hales can expect to be considered when England pick their squad for the limited-overs leg of their Australia trip.
