Hamilton: Young Karnataka batsman Ravikumar Samarth’s unbeaten half-century was the only highlight for India A in their rain-affected second unofficial Test against New Zealand A, which ended in a draw. With nearly two days of play abandoned due to rain, only 45 overs could be bowled on the final day. India were 159/2 when both captains decided to shake hands. Bengal’s top doubles shuttler electrocuted

Bengal’s No. 1 doubles badminton player Trinankur Nag died of electrocution on Monday after suffering severe burn injuries while working in a railway carshed here, an Eastern Railway spokesman said. The 26-year-old shuttler came in contact with a high-tension overhead electrical wire at his workplace in Kankurgachi on Saturday. He was being treated at Eastern Railway’s BR Singh Hospital, where he died Monday morning.

Udanta’s late strike helps Bengaluru beat Delhi 1-0         

A late strike from Udanta Singh helped Bengaluru FC beat Delhi Dynamos by a solitary goal and top the Indian Super League table here on Monday. The home side survived onslaughts from Delhi Dynamos before Singh struck the lone goal in the 87th minute. Bengaluru FC are now on the top of the table with 19 points from seven games, while it seem all but over for Delhi Dynamos as they remain rooted at the bottom without a win from nine games.
