16 make it to state-level throwball team

Sixteen students were selected for the state-level throwball team at a selection camp held in Manav Bharti International School, Mussoorie, today.

Around 40 students from six schools participated in trials at the one–week camp.

National throwball referee Rajesh Kumar apprised participants of new rules and guidelines of the game.

The list of the players selected for the state-level team includes Gurpreet, Radhika, Puja, Muskan, Anushka, Richa and Navanshi from Mussoorie International School. Pooja Gupta, Surbhi Rainchela and Sweta Raunchela were selected from Manav Bharti International School. Gurunoor, Prablin, Suratman and Tanishk were selected from Guru Nanak Fifth Centenary School. Suhana from Oak Grove School and Shilpa from Hill Bird School also made it to the state-level team.

Amit Rana, state secretary, throwball association, said the team would play nationals in Telangana in July.

Instructors form Mussoorie—- Lalit Verma, Asif Salmani, Laxman, Sapna, Manoj, Dheeraj and Kamini—- also selected state-level throwball referees.
