Adhiraj of St. John's High School, Sector 26, won the 100m final in the boys' U-14 category of the Chandigarh North District Athletics Championships.
He claimed the top spot in 12.41 seconds. Vishal Singh (14.15s) finished second and Savneet (14.61s) of St. John's finished third. In the long jump event, Suraj (4.54m) and Amardev (4.37m) of GHS-Vikasnagar, finished first and second, respectively. Nooramjot (4.30m) of St. John's claimed the third position. In the boys' U-16 long jump event, Vinod (5.40m) of Vikas Nagar School finished first, Satish (5.10m) of GHS, Raipur Khurd, finished second and Ketan (5.00m) of Strawberry School, Sector 26, finished third. In the boys' U-14 category of the south district event, Ayush Reikhi of Tribune School, Sector 29, won the 100m race in 11.80s. Vijya of St. Stephen's School, Sector 45, finished second in 14.46s. Maninder of MRS-27, finished third in 14.67s.
In the girls' U-14 event, Simran Kaur (13.13s) of GHS-46, finished first, Navya Khatri (16.32s) of AKIPS, Sector 41, was second and Sara (16.89s) was third.
In the shot put event, Khushi Rana (9.97m) of AKSIPS-41, was first, while Nandani Singh (7.20m) and Muskan (4.30m) of Shishu Niketan School, Sector 22, finished second and third.— TNS
