Unbeaten centuries by Ashish Kumar (151 off 111 balls) and Harshul Singla (108 off 100 balls) helped St Joseph’s School, Sector 44, defeat DAV School, Patiala, by 69 runs and enter the semi-finals of the ongoing Second Cricket Hub Challenger Cricket Tournament held today.
The duo added unbeaten 283 runs for the opening-wicket stand. While batting first, St Joseph’s School posted 283 runs in the allotted slot of 35 overs.
Ashish Kumar posted 151 runs with 17 boundaries and six sixes, while Harshul Singla posted unbeaten 108 runs off 100 balls, including 13 boundaries and two sixes.
Chasing the total, DAV school touched 214-runs before gttimng all out in the allotted slot of 33 overs. Their innings was sustained by only Sahil, who completed 104-runs off 99 balls, and Rahul who scored 64 off 66 balls. For local team, Anupam Pathania bagged five wickets haul for 27 runs.
