Bathinda girl Narinder Kaur has been selected for the women's Indian hockey team.

Narinder, a first year student at Malwa College of Physical Education in Bathinda, represent the country in the 4th Women's Asian Champion Trophy to be held in Singapore from October 29 to November 5.
Apart from India, China, Japan, Korea and Malaysia will feature in the championship.

Prof Ajitpal Singh, in charge sports, Malwa College of Physical Education, said Narinder had already made the institute proud by winning a gold medal in the All India Inter-University meet.
