Cricket trials: 70 probables shortlisted for coaching centre

The Ludhiana District Cricket Association (LDCA) shortlisted 70 probables for regional coaching centre run by the association under the patronage of the Punjab Cricket Association. Trials were conducted yesterday during which 152 aspirants turned up.
Forty players were shortlisted in the U-16 category while 30 players were finalised in the U-19 group. Vinod Chitkara, general secretary, LDCA, released the list of players today. The probables are (U-16) Naman, Nilhil, Arjun, Nihal, Vaibhav, Deepin, Lovish, Karthik, Arjun, Aayush, Sehaj, Tanishq, Inderjit, Adityavir, Abhinav, Chirag, Krishna, Damanpreet, Tanrup, Garry, Shubham, Raghav, Lovjit. Baljot, Keshav, Aman, Joy, Harsharan, Jaskaran, Rahul, Pranshu, Nipun, Raghav, Vivek, Anmol, Harkaranvir, Munish, Amitoz, Justus and Ronit. U-19: Danish, Jaish, Kunwar Makkar, Jaskaran, Gurjot, Amritprit, Ramandip, Sarabjit, Pawan, Rahul Khanna, Rahul Sikka, Ayush, Anish, Karan, Rupinder, Sajjanprit, Mohit Singh, Manvir, Varun Sharma, Vidush, Gurjot, Anmol, Harnoor, Deepin, Bhuvnesh Rai, Bhupinder, Inderjeet, Manjot, Harkirat and Gunit. The players have been advised to report to coaches Satwinder and Sandip at Arya College on March 30 at 5 pm. The Ludhiana district teams will be selected from these probables for the Punjab State Inter-District Cricket Tournaments for the next cricket session. Meanwhile, the association held trials today to select the players (U-15) for the Ludhiana unit of the PCA Non Residential Academy as well as to select the players (U-23) for the regional coaching centre.
Thirty-six players (U-15) attended the trials whereas 62 aspirants registered for trials in the U-25 category.
