Digvijay wins tennis title in Hong Kong

Chandigarh, July 13

Digvijay Pratap Singh, a former trainee of the Chandigarh Academy for Rural Tennis (CHART), won the boys’ singles title at the ITF Junior G5 Championships held in Hong Kong from July 4 to 9.

Digvijay defeated second seed Shan Yuan Ou 3-6 6-4 6-1 in the final.

He had stunned top seed Ching Ho Sunny Yue of Hong Kong in the second round. This will help Digvijay gain ranking in ITF Juniors.

Earlier this year, Digvijay had won CS-7 and TS-5 level championships held in Chandigarh and New Delhi.
