EON Infotech defeat Pepsi India by three runs

EON Infotech defeated Pepsi India, Mohali, by 3 runs during a cricket match of the ongoing ‘Donate Eyes - Win Hearts’ Cup, being played at Divya Public School, Sector 44, here.

While batting first, the winning side posted 93 runs for 7 in the allotted slot of 20 overs. The innings was well sustained by a 40-run contribution by Amit Sood. His effort was well supported by Parminder Singh (15 runs). For the bowling side, Vinod and Harwinder Singh claimed two wickets each.

In reply, despite a fine unbeaten knock by Ankit (32 runs), the Mohali outfit failed to strike well and folded up their innings on 90 runs. Vinod (16 runs) and Avtar Singh (16 runs) remained the other main scorers. For the winning side, Deepak was the pick of the team with his figures of 3 for 11 while Sunny grabbed 2 wickets for 16 runs. Amit of EON Infotech was declared the man of the match.
