Fencing title for GMSSS-10
Chandigarh, July 30
Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 10, finished at the top in the inter-school U-17 fencing championship with a total of 46 points, here today.
The school won the individual foil and sabre events and clinched second spot in the epee segment to lay their hands on the winner's trophy.
Simran won the foil event after beating Kavreet of Sacred Heart, Sector 26, in the final while Babita got the better of her schoolmate Riya to win the sabre title.
Yashkeerat of Ankur High School, Sector 14, beat Kiran of GMSSS-10 to top the epee segment. — TNS
