The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is around the corner and we all know that Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is not playing cricket anymore for India. But for 28-year-old Nitin Jain, cricket is nothing without Sachin.

Nitin Jain, popularly known as ‘Nitin Sachinist’, a sketch artist who has tons of Sachin’s sketch signed by the cricketer himself, was in Chandigarh. Before leaving to his home town (Ambala), Nitin did not forget to show his art dedicated to Sachin Tendulkar.

His art was well appreciated by Sachin on various occasions, including a recent meeting in Mussoorie (Uttarakhand) during December 2014.

“I presented him four sketches recently and he appreciated all. Being his fan, I usually draw the attention of crowd but the feeling of getting spotted by Sachin himself is something different. This has happened on several occasions and I feel lucky,” said Nitin.

Nitin, a die-hard fan of Sachin, is a businessman and runs a manufacturing unit at his home town.

“I am not an artist by profession but my all sketches are especially dedicated to him. I had learnt making drawings like a normal child. Because of my love for Sachin, I started making his sketches only. He appreciates my art every time, I get a chance to meet him,” said Nitin.

“The best moment I spent with Sachin was when he told me about his brother’s name, Nitin. I was on cloud nine that day. This all happened at the lobby of Taj Hotel last year. At that time, he signed three of my sketches. He also asked me to come up with some more sketches. Recently in Mussoorie, I spent around 20 minutes with Sachin to show my sketches,” said Nitin, revealing that he wants to make a big sketch for Sachin’s new house in Mussoorie.

“I want to make a huge sketch illustrating Sachin’s life. It will be my luckiest day if my art gets a display at Sachin’s home. I requested him to give me an opportunity so that I could sketch something unusual dedicated to my mentor,” said Nitin.
