Harleen Kaur defeated Nimrat Kaur while Amreen Sindhu overpowered Sehajveer to reach in the semifinals of the girls (U-14) category of the ongoing Sunrise Tennis Academy’s AITA Talent Series (TS-7) Tennis Tournament at the Chandigarh Club today.
In the quarterfinal matches, Harleen Kaur defeated Nimrat Kaur in straight sets 6-0 and 6-3, while Amreen Sindhu registered an easy 6-4 and 6-2 win over Sehajveer. In the third quarterfinal match, Inyat Sandhu defeated Riya Sahni in tough three set tie 6-2, 6-7(6) and 6-0. Meanwhile, in the boys (U-14) category matches, in form player Asav Kumar defeated Akshit Chhabra 6-0 and 6-3, while Krishan Hooda overpowered Shrut Mohan 3-6, 7-5 and 6-2. In the other two matches, Chiraz Dhanda beat Abhinav 6-1, 6-2 and Uday Vir Singh defeated Sehaj Naangal 6-3 and 6-2. In the boys (U-16) category, Bhupinder Dahiya, Shashikant Rajput, Jagtar Arora and Savneet S Bajwa moved to the final four. In the girls (U-16) category, Himanshika, Princy, Harleen Kaur and Saisha Khanna moved in the semifinals after registering respective wins in their matches today.

Girls (U-16) quarterfinal: Himanshika bt Priyanka Jakhar 6-1, 6-2; Princy bt Sameera Mehta 6-1, 6-2; Harleen Kaur bt Sanya Chadha 6-2, 6-4; Saisha Khanna bt Koomaljit Kaur 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.
