Haryana lifted the Dhruv Pandove Trophy for boys (U-14), after playing a draw against Punjab at IS Bindra PCA Stadium. Haryana won on the basis of first innings lead. Haryana scored 267 for 9 in 95 overs in their first innings. Skipper Sagar Dahiya scored 109 off 193 balls with 9 boundaries while getting full support by Kashish Jain (59 runs) and Arun Kumar (43 runs).
For Punjab, Yuvraj Chaudhary (3 for 820 and Pranshu Gupta (3 for 73) claimed three wickets each along with Anurag Watts who took 2 for 84.
In reply, Punjab mustered on 224 in 92.2 overs. Skipper Anurag Watts led the fight back with a solid innings of 61 runs while Yuvraj Chaudhary posted 34 runs to support the skipper.
For Haryana, Bhuvan Rohilla was the pick of the team claiming 4 for 62 while Vivek Yadav followed him with claiming 3 for 70. Aman Sherawat also chipped in the bowling figures with his returning figures of 2 for 67. Haryana’s second innings was bolstered by an unbeaten century by opener Vivek Yadav (101 off 114 balls studded with 18 boundaries) while Sagar Dahiya and Sagar Sharma chipped in unbeaten knock of 32 runs and 29 runs, respectively. Haryana were 172 for 3 in their second innings when the match ended.
