Hosts St John’s High School, Sector 26, defeated Vivek High School, Sector 38, by seven wickets during the ongoing(U-14) Blessed Edmund Rice Cricket Tournament being played on the school campus in Sector 26here today.
Raj Baath again performed well and posted unbeaten 25 runs and claimed three wickets for 15 runs to help his team log win. Electing to bat first, Vivek High School bundled out on a mere total of 110 runs in 19 overs with Paras (24 runs), Kshitij (23 runs) and Shivin (20 runs) scoring the major share. For the bowling side, Raj Baath claimed three wickets for 15 runs while Hiren Mahlotra (2 for 3) and Hardaat (2 for 20) were the other main wicket-takers for the side.
In reply, St John’s High School posted 112 runs for three wickets in 18 overs with Shaurya Sharma (27 runs), Raj Baath (25 runs) and Vasu (16 runs) playing the match winning knocks. For the bowling side, Itish claimed a wicket for 20 runs.
In the second match, Ryan International School, Sector 49, defeated Swami Ram Tritha School by four wickets. The losing side folded their innings on a mere total of 56 runs in 13 overs with Vicky (12 runs) and Jashan (10 runs) raising the team’s total. For the bowling side, Aryan claimed three wickets for 20 runs with Auyush scalping two wickets for 10 runs.
In reply, Ryanites posted 58 runs for six wickets in 12 overs with Pulkit(15 runs) confirming the team’s win while Badal took five wickets for15 runs.
