Jujhar and Ivan win golf qualifier

Chandigarh’s Ivan Jolly and Jujhar Singh won the qualifier for ‘The Race to Spain’ at the Forest Hills Golf and Country Club.

Talented youngster Jujhar carded a two-under-par for two days while Jolly shot a level-par total over two rounds.  The organisers said, “It is heartening to see players in the age groups of 6 to 9 and 10 to 13 years qualifying for the championship. The level of scoring was at it’s highest with 55 birdies and 2 eagles during the championship.” Players who topped their divisions were Lakhmehar Chahal and Eknoor Pardesi from Girls Category A, Komalpreet from Category B. Heena Kang topped Category C while Jiah Kang and Mehar Nijjer were tied in Category D.

Tajinder Hayer and Manjot Singh topped the boys Category A. Gursahib S Sandhu and Suryaveer Bali topped Category B. Aditya Sood, Janish J Singh, Yuvraj S Hara won in Category C. Category D was won by Jujhar Singh, Manjot Singh and Jyotirmay Dahiya. 

In the boys Category E, Ivan Jolly, Abhimanyu Pargal, Anupam Dahiya, Neil Jolly and Rannvijay Gill were declared winners.
