LPSC beat SDSC 4-0 in volleyball

Chandigarh, November 25

Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), Valiamala, defeated SDSC, Sriharikota, in a volleyball match of the DOS/ISRO Inter-Centre Sports Meet at Panjab University today. In a five-set semifinal match, LPSC lost the first two sets 27-29, 21-25 but bounced back in next three games (25-22, 27-25 and 15-11) to win the match.

In the second match, VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram, outplayed Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), Mohali, 25-21, 25-15, 25-15 to reach the final stage of the championship.

In hockey, SCL, Mohali, registered a 4-0 win over Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) Thiruvananthapuram, to reach the final.

GP Singh scored in the 35th minute while Jaspal Dhindsa doubled the lead in the 43rd minute and further pushed the score to 3-0 in the 46th minute. Nilakesh Rajput scored the fourth goal in the 48th minute.

Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC), Sriharikota, beat Space Application Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad, 3-0 to enter the final. — TNS
