Netball players to be honoured

Chandigarh, May 28

The Netball Sports Promotion Association, Chandigarh, has decided to honour city’s girls (U-14) netball team, who brought laurels by attaining third spot in the 60th National School Games held at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pardesh, in December, last year. The players will be honoured at The British School, Sector 44, on June 10 (5 pm). Dr Parminder Singh Ahluwalia, director, Sports, Panjab University, Chandigarh, will award the winners.

The team members are Jigyasha (Captain), GMSSS, Sector 20, Chandigarh; Sejal (Vice-Captain), GMSSS, Sector 20; Saveena, GMSSS- Arju, GMSSS-20, Jyoti, GMSSS-20; Oasin, GMSSS-20; Preety, GMSSS, Sector -20; Kajal, GMSSS, Sector-20; Gurvir Kaur, GMSSS-20; Chetna, GMSSS-28; Gunjan, Sri Guru Harkrishan Model School-38; Ishita, GGMSSS- 20; Dr GP Pal (Manager), GMSSS, Sector 20 ; Harmesh Devi (Coach), GMSSS, Sector- 8, Chandigarh.
