Parvinder helps L&T to 4-wicket win over LWCC

Chandigarh, May 23

A combined batting effort by L&T Finance today helped them register a four-wicket win over Livewire Cricket Coaching Centre (LWCC) in the ongoing 'U-Forever Cricket Cup' being played at Divya Public School, Sector 44, here. 

The tournament is being organised to create awareness about Body Donation.

Batting first, LWCC rode on a 103 run-knock by Harvinder Singh to post 204/4 in allotted 20 overs. Arun Luthra (42) and Ishant Phull (39) made noticeable contributions  to the total.

In reply, L&T Finance chased down the target with four wickets in hand. Parvinder Singh scored an unbeaten 58 while Vipin Arora struck a brisk 43. Surinder (41), Vaneesh (31) and Prince Arora (20) also made valuable contributions in the team’s victory.

Ishant Phull (3/50) was the leading wicket taker for LWCC while Akash and Harvinder Singh claimed a wicket each. 

Parvinder Singh of L&T Finance was adjudged man of the match.

Brief Scores: Live Wire Cricket Club 204/4 in 20 overs (Harvinder Singh 103, Arun Luthra 42; Vipin Arora 1 for 22) lost to L&T Finance 205/6 in 19.3 overs (Parvinder Singh 58 not out, Vipin Arora 43, Surinder 41; Ishant Phull 3/50).
