PU decimates MDU 5-0

Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, defeated MDU, Rohtak, 5-0, on the seventh day of North-Zone Inter-University Football (men) Championship, being organised by the PU.
Arjun Singh of the PU scored two goals in the 15th and 79th minutes, while Harpreet Singh, Arshdeep Singh and Ranvir Singh scored one goal each in the 17th, 25th and 40th minutes, respectively. MDU failed to mark their presence in the match and scored nil. In another match of the tournament, Delhi University (DU), and Lovely Professional University (LPU), Phagwara, DU defeated its opponent 17-16. The match was decided through penalty kicks.
Guru Jambheshwar University (GJU) of Science and Technology, Hissar, beat CCSHAU, Hissar, 2-0. Utkarsh scored one goal in 23d minute and Birender scored one goal in 42nd minute for the Hissar team. Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, thrashed Kashmir University, Srinagar, 3-0. Karamjit Singh scored one goal in the 22nd minute for the GNDU while Manpreet Singh scored two goals in the 75th and 88th minute.
