The Punjab and Haryana cagers will feature in the 3rd season of the United Basketball Alliance (UBA) Pro Basketball League to be held in July next year.
UBA has selected top 15 cagers from India for training at the 2nd annual USA Pro Performance camp in Phoenix (Arizona ) for a two-week camp starting next week. Vikas Kumar, Himanshu Kaithal, Gaurav Ohlan (all from Haryana), Dildar Singh Brar, Sartaj Singh Sandhu, Gurvinder Singh Gill, Akashdeep Hazra (all from Punjab ) have been selected for the preparatory camp.
The pro performance training camp is designed by UBA, keeping in mind the players and the prevalent pro-athlete standards across the US.
The daily routine of the players consist of intense workout sessions, including four hours of basketball training and two hours of strength and conditioning.
The 15 selected players will also attend an NBA game, in which Phoenix Suns will take on the iconic Knicks (New York) allowing the players to partake in a true American experience.
They will also get a chance to attend an NCAA Division-1 men's basketball game at Arizona State University during their stay in the US besides playing friendly matches at the tournament venue.
