Rohit Gupta scored a century before Pratham Singla claimed a fifer to help Narinder Walia Cricket Academy (NWCA) beat Play Cricket XI by 111 runs in the Hot Weather Intra Academy Series here today.
Batting first, NWCA posted 321 in 50 overs with Gupta scoring a well compiled 113 runs with the help of 17 boundaries.
Aman Kumar cracked a 70 as the duo stitched a 146-run partnership to set the foundation for a challenging total.
Rahul Singh chipped in with 33 runs, while Arnav Bansal contributed 31 to the total.
Kshitij Sharma (5/48) was the leading wicket-taker for Play Cricket XI. Sachin (2/33) and Ishant Chawla (2/57) claimed two wickets each, while Yash Singla returned with figures of 1/44.
In reply, Play Cricket XI were bowled out for 210 runs as NWCA bowlers led by Pratham Singla (5/6) struck at regular intervals. Paras bagged 3/38, while Sahib claimed 2/18.
Yash Singla (36) showed some resistance but could not stop the inevitable. Pratham Sodhi (61) was the top scorer for Play Cricket XI. Ankit Kalra contributed 53 runs to the chase.
