Satluj Stunners emerge champs

Satluj Stunners Cricket Academy, Sector 4, Panchkula, lifted the trophy of Friendship Cricket Tournament for boys (U-15), played at SBAC Senior Secondary School, Bijwara, (Hoshiarpur), after defeating the host by eight wickets, today.
While chasing a modest target of 109 runs, the title winners closed the match in 20 overs with Aditya Pratap Singh and Harmanjeet Singh confirming the win.
After electing to bat first on their home ground, the host side posted 108 runs before bundling out in 21 overs. Openers Prabhdeep (26 runs) and Navi (24 runs) started off their campaign on a good note. Tanveer (20 runs) added a double figure contribution in the team’s total while other fails to score big.
For winning side, Ravi led the team’s bowling attack claiming 2 for 4 while Anmoldeep (2 for 14) and Aakash (2 for 32) were the other main wickets takers.
While chasing, Satluj Stunners Cricket Academy achieved the target in 20 overs. Aditya posted an unbeaten knock of 51 runs while Harmanjeet supported him with his unbeaten 45 runs. Prabhdeep took 1 for 25 for SBAC Senior Secondary School. Aditya was named as the best batsman of the championship. He scored a total of 180 runs in 4 matches including three half centuries. Saksham was declared as the best wicketkeeper while Anmoldeep Singh claimed the best bowler award taking 10 wickets in the series. Ritik was adjudged as the best fielder of the championship.
