Strawberry’s Asav Kumar swims to glory

Local swimmers Asav Kumar, Rishi Rana and Aryan Saxena claimed first three spots in the 50- meter free style event during the ongoing Inter-School Swimming Championship for Boys and Girls today.

In the boys' U-14 category, Asav Kumar of Strawberry World High School, Sector 26, completed the 50 m freestyle race in 0.29.09 seconds while Rishi Ranan of Delhi Public School, Sector 40, finished second in 0.30.06 seconds. Aryan Saxena from Strawberry World High School, Sector 26, secured the third spot in 0.31.31 seconds. Yash Rathee secured the fourth spot with 0.31.34 seconds.

In the 50 m breaststroke event, Rohan Talwar and Jugaad Singh from Delhi Pubilc School claimed the top two spots with the timing of 0.42.3 seconds and 0.43.50 seconds, respectively. Anhad Singh from Strawberry School and Anmol Rattan Singh from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, secured the third and fourth spots with the score of 0.45.00 and 0.47.99 seconds, respectively.

In the 50 m backstroke category, Asav Kumar again secured a gold medal while Bhavya S Thakur and Aryan Saxena won the silver and bronze in 0.37.25 and 0.38.25 seconds, respectively. Shahdeep Singh Dhillon claimed the fourth spot with 0.38.33 seconds.

In the U-17 category of 50 m freestyle, Samar Toor secured the first position with 0.26.59 seconds.. Shubham Kaura finished second with 0.28.60 seconds while Dipanshu stood third with 0.31.16 seconds.

In the girls' U-14 category, Tishya Kapoor and Twisha Gupta claimed top two positions in 00:30:34 and 00:31:00 seconds, respectively, while Akshi Dashottar and Jasnoor Sandhu won the third and fourth spot with 00:41:60 and 00:44:28 seconds, respectively. In the girls' U-19 event, Anisha Gauba (00:54:83), Riti Gupta (00:54:95), Vidushi Sharma ( 00:56:49) and Garima Setia (01:07:4) secured the top four spots.

Boys' U-19 50 m freestyle: Jastaran Toor (0.27.04); Abhishek Arora (0.27.62); Roshan Chirag (0.28.38).

50 m freestyle (U-14): Asav Kumar (0.29.09); Rishi Rana (0.30.06); Aryan Saxena (0.31.31).

Girls' U- 14 50 m backstroke: Gurnoor Kaur (00:37:50); Leeza Bhogat (00:39:77); Raavi Sheoran (00:50:00).

Girls' U-17 50 m free style: Jasmeet Kaur (00:29:02); Khushnoor Walia (00:32:04); Soumya Nayyar (00:32:73).

50 m backstroke: Jasmeet Kaur (00:32:56); Soumya Nayyar (00:36:03); Simrat Kaur (00:39:44).

Girls' U-19 50 m freestyle: Mani Mehtab Dhaliwal (00:33:59); Anisha Gauba (00:39:60); Agrima Mehta (00:42:19).
