Chandigarh, February 6
Local favorites Jaypee Punjab Warriors announced to allow free access to the general stand to hockey lovers here.
According to the management, the step has been taken to promote hockey and to encourage more and more people to observe techniqe and skills of international players. The free entry will be allowed during all matches to be played at the Mohali international hockey stadium on February 7 ,17 and 19.
Team’s representative Kamal Dhawan said the general stand entry ticket was earlier Rs 30. Now access to this stand would be free. The VIP and hospitality ticket would be available on regular price of Rs 100 and Rs 500, respectively.
The home team is leading the point table of the ongoing Hockey India League with 23 points. The team will take on Delhi Waveriders on Saturday. Earlier, the Punjab side defeated Delhi Waveriders 3-1
