Vivek High Asian Cricket Academy defeated Royal Cricket Academy by four wickets in the opening match of the 4th sub-junior (under-14) inter-state tennis ball cricket tournament, organised by Hope Welfare Society and Chandigarh Cricket Tennis Ball Association, today. The Vivek High Asian Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to field first. They restricted rivals on a mere total of 62 runs for 5 wickets in the allotted slot of 16 overs. Saurabh Puri (19 runs) and Akhilesh (15 runs) were the main scorers for the side while for bowling team Karan ( 2 for 13 runs) and Dhruv( 2 for 16 runs) claimed two wickets each.
In reply, the Vivek High Asian Cricket Academy posted 63 runs for 5 wickets in 12.4 overs with Vivek scoring an unbeaten knock of 28 runs while Angad contributed with his unbeaten knock of 16 runs. For bowling part, Sameer claimed 2 for 9 runs. Vivek of Vivek High Asian Cricket Academy for his match winning 28 runs innings was named as man of the match.
