We all do have regrets in life and many times it’s because of a failed relationship. When you are in love, life revolved around one person and there is no hiding. Our celebrities also make it obvious by getting the names of their loved ones inked. But problems start when you separate.

How does one erase out a past when it is actually inked on the body? Many celebs get their tattoos removed by either laser treatments or skin grafts, which are extremely painful ways. And there are others who don’t want to go through this pain, keep regretting. With Angelina Jolie planning to get rid of all tattoos related to Brad Pitt, we list down few Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities who said goodbye to their Tattoos...

Following sunshine

Sussanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan had the same tattoo on their wrists. Which was a star. When they both broke up and decided to end their marriage, Sussanne reworked the tattoo she had earlier gotten with Hrithik. After their split, she got hers redesigned by adding the words ‘Follow your sunshine’ inked just before the star.

Laser effect continues

When Angelina Jolie was first married to Billy Bob Thornton, she got a Billy Bob tattoo, along with a stylish dragon on her left arm just below the shoulder. After the marriage ended in 2003, she regretted getting the tattoo. She had the Billy Bob lasered off her skin, leaving the dragon behind. Later, she had the dragon removed as well and covered that area with new tattoos–rows of coordinates representing where each of her children were born.

Minus nine…

Eva Longoria has had a few tattoos on her body that she was not proud of, the first being the word “nine” on the back of her neck. This was a reference to the jersey number of her ex-husband Tony Parker. She ended up having all of them removed.

Ring a bell?

Kethy Griffin got herself a wedding ring tattoo, since she didn’t like wearing rings. After her marriage hit the rocks, she removed the ring tattoo. 

Name changed 

Another famous couple Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards got matching tattoos after they were married. Charlie got Denise’s name tattooed on his wrist and she got Charlie’s name put on her ankle. Charlie had the ink removed after the divorce and Denise had hers converted into a fairy.

Lesson for life

The British model-actress Amy Jackson was in a relationship with Prateik and the much-in-love couple even got each other’s names tattooed on their arms. When things went sour she said, “The tattoo has been erased. I will never do a tattoo again and even if I do, I will think a million times before getting inked.”

It lives on

Deepika Padukone had got a RK tattoo that she had inscribed on the nape of her neck as a rather public declaration of her love for Ranbir Kapoor. She still has it even thought after years of their break up.

Some imagination

Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp, who was married to Amber Heard, had inked his knuckles with the word SLIM which is Amber’s nickname. But after their break up, the actor has now tweaked it to SCUM.
