After the grand engagement, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rukmini Sahay had a traditional Mehendi and Sangeet ceremony in Udaipur on Wednesday. The celebrations with a theme of Mewari Mela took place in the presence of family and close friends. For both Mehendi and Sangeet, the groom as well as the bride-to-be, wore Krishna Mehta’s designs.
Neil Nitin Mukesh was seen in a classic kurta and vest made in exquisite silk with pink dominating the colour scheme and perfectly complemented by orange gold zardozi embroidery. With focus to ornate detailing, much like the palaces and havelis in Rajasthan, the off-beat anarkali style defines the vivid colour scheme.
On the other side, Rukmini Sahay wore a traditional lehenga, dupatta and blouse that delves into the roots of Rajasthani design by incorporating intricate gota work into the outfit. The stunning pista green outfit with gota patti has been further embroidered with striking multi-colour threads in zardozi. The border of the lehnga has been laced with dainty French knots to add an element of regal sophistication to the overall ensemble.
