My kids call me Jyoti ma’am: Juhi

Well, she’s been the Rashmi from QSQT, Kiran from Darr, Madhu in Ishq, Sumitra Devi in Gulaab Gang. The vivacious & bubbly Juhi Chawla plays a school teacher in her latest Chalk N Duster. Apparently, her kids Jhanvi & Arjun who have seen the movie at a private screening now call her Jyoti ma’am, her on-screen character’s name. Chalk N Duster is a mass entertainer with a strong message to the audience about the current commercialisation of the education system. Juhi as Jyoti on-screen also plays a mother to a 5 year old in the movie. Juhi who has always managed to keep her kids away from the spotlight chuckles, “My little one calls me Jyoti ma’am & wishes that I was his school teacher and gave him high grades. He’s apparently told me that he’s really liked the film & will ask his teachers to watch it too. They call me Jyoti ma’am. It’s sweet when they remember your character’s name & it stays with them.”
