Rajjat Barjatya passes away

Rajjat Barjatya, MD and CEO of Rajshri Media, passed away on Friday at Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai.

Rajjat was suffering from cancer for a while now and was admitted in the hospital from the last 10-12 days. Rajjat, who is cousin of Sooraj Barjatya, was an acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia survivor which had relapsed.

The man was a visionary who believed in young talents and technology. Heading Rajshri Media, Rajjat contributed immensely to expanding their family business. He himself created a progressive approach in the digital medium for Rajshri as he believed digital to be the biggest platform to thrive. May strength be with the Barjatya family and we hope Rajjat's soul rests in peace.

Bollywood celebrities mourn over Rajjat’s death and shared condolence messages on Twitter -

Salman Khan who was very close to the Barjatya tweeted in memory of Rajjat, “Rest in peace my brother Rajjat Barjatya.”

Boman Irani wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Rajjat Barjatya. May his soul rest in peace.”

Riteish Deshmukh tweeted, “Rajjat Barjataya - RIP - Noble, kind, warm & a true gentleman. Prayers & condolences to the family.”

Shirish Kunder said, “Nothing shakes you up more than when someone your age dies. RIP Rajjat Barjatya. A dear friend, since I edited a film for him 13 years back.”
