Ad filmmaker and author Aban Bharucha Deohans (director of Teaspoon) is making a transition into films. After directing innovative ads for big brands, this talented ad filmmaker has created her magic in her latest 20-minute short film Teaspoon.

This short film has got enormous appreciation from all the popular short film festivals across the globe and also has garnered immense acknowledgement from Bollywood industry. Some of the talented actors like Manoj Bajpayee, R. Madhavan, Arjun Baweja, Makarand Deshpande and many more are expressing their amazement on this brilliant short film Teaspoon.

The film has been awarded for the Best Screenplay in the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival and recently the news is that it has also been selected for prominent Jagaran Film Festival.

Commenting about Teaspoon, Manoj Bajpayee said, “Direction and the treatment are noteworthy, a well-deserved appreciation. Wish you all the best Aban Deohan”.

R. Madhavan said, “I was very keen to see what Aban as a director would come up with and this short film was giant. Sharing her experience on working in such amazing film, the lead actor Shriswara says, “Working with Aban ma’m was quite enjoyable. Teaspoon is a very heart-rending story, explicating the miseries of a woman who is trapped between her desires and responsibilities. It feels good to get associated with such a remarkable film.

Sharing her thoughts on her film Aban Deohan says “ Teaspoon reflects in a way, the situation prevalent in a lot of Indian homes. The wife has to live with her in-laws and many times the husband, who goes of to work in the morning and returns at night, has no clue what his wife has to face all day. I was lucky to have such powerful actors and such a fantastic talented crew who helped bringing my story and vision to life.”
