The mystery behind ‘why Kattappa killed Baahubali?’ will unfold when Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion releases next month, but the director says he enjoyed the fan theories related to the cliff-hanger. “I had only one theory for ‘why Kattappa killed Baahubali?’. But people had lot of theories,” Rajamouli, the National Award-winning director. Movie’s second part will be released on April 28.
“The number of trolls you get is promotional to the craze for the film. Whether good or bad... however people discuss it, it shows that your film has made an impact. It doesn’t create pressure; it gives me confidence that so many people are going to watch the second part. It guarantees me an opening,” said Rajamouli.
He added, “It is a big story, so we couldn’t put it together in one film. We elaborated the story in part two and added additional efforts on VFX; the producers spent more money on it. As far as the story is concerned, nothing has changed.”
While sharing that the most difficult thing about making both the parts of “Baahubali” was to keep the interest of the cast and crew intact through the five-year period, Rajamouli said. The makers of the film have plans to come up with comics and novels on the character for the fans.
Produced by ARKA Entertainment, Baahubali: The Conclusion stars Prabhas in the titular role in addition to Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty and Satyaraj in pivotal roles. — PTI
