Dr Ramandeep topped the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test PG Examination in the state.

A resident of Leda village, he secured the 306th rank. This year, 1.30 thousand candidates appeared in the examination. Of them, only 31,330 passed.

His mother Jiwan Lata said Ramandeep had always been a bright student.

He had secured the top spot in the MBBS examination at Tanda medical college, she said. Ramandeep even bagged a gold medal. He said he was inclined towards research in medicine.
