Security forces have found a large cache of ammunition and explosives from a militant hideout in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, defence spokesperson said on Tuesday.
In a joint operation, a team comprising both army and police
searched at Thatharka village in Gool, Ramban, on Monday after they tipped off by intelligence inputs about a possible militant hideout in the area, a defence spokesperson said on Tuesday
They recovered two Under Barrel Grenade Launchers (UBGLs), one RPG round, six UBGL grenades, six Chinese hand grenades, 262 AK ammunition, two US AK magazines, three Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), three wax-type explosives, 5 kg of loose explosives, 30 meters cortex wire, three cube explosives, 13 detonators, one kenwood radio set and one radio repeater, he said.
There was no trace of suspected militants, however, the spokesperson said. The police have registered a case. — PTI
