Chandigarh, May 14

An emergency meeting of executive members of joint action committee of Chandigarh teachers was held to discuss the delay in finalising a concrete deputation policy by the Chandigarh Administration. The committee said that a group of teachers on deputation were misleading the leaders of political parties of Punjab and Haryana regarding this policy.

The committee claims that none of the above rules were being followed by the Education Department and there was resentment among the teachers of the UT. The committee has appealed to the Chandigarh Administration to frame clear cut policy on deputation otherwise they will be compelled to lodge a strong protest against the administration.
