The Man(n) in action
Mona
It was singer-actor Harbhajan Mann who revved up the party spirit at Kudiyan Di Lohri celebrations at Gulab Sweets, Panchkula on Sunday evening.
Harbhajan, who will soon be hitting the big screen with two films — Gaddar— The Traitor and CM Saab, is also working on his upcoming album.
The event sure was a treat for the singer’s fans. For those who missed, here’s what this popular singer shared…
Right direction
I am elated at being part of the special Kudiyan Di Lohri celebrations. I am glad that lots of noise is being made about issues like female feoticide or girls not getting their due in general. Unless we talk about our problems, we can’t solve them; it’s the right step in the right direction.
Territorial gain
Gaddar—The Traitor is ready. We are currently working on the promotional strategy. Just like Jee Aayan Nu opened a national territory, with Gaddar we aim to take this film in non-Punjabi film territories like Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and the Middle-East. We just did a big show in Malaysia. For CM Saab some song sequences are yet to be shot. And yes, I am also working on my album. I have composed all eight songs. The music is by Sukshinder Shinda. It would be my kind of music with an international appeal.
Serious note
I am happy at Punjabi film industry growing leaps and bounds. If only we could alter the subject line a bit! With Punjabis settled in 150-countries around the world, and fifth and sixth generation in some, how many of them could relate to story based on a college in Punjab? Chaar Sahibzade has set a new benchmark. It’s about time we explored our culture and literature a bit more.
