IT is gratifying to learn that solid work is being done in Bombay to encourage Swadeshi manufacturers. The Swadeshi Co-operative Stores is perhaps the only institution of the kind working on a fairly large scale and successfully. There are three branches of the Stores in Bombay city and it is said that a number of apprentices having learnt the business have now gone out to open similar Stores. A branch was opened on the 16th instant at Poona. It is well that goods manufactured in India should secure public patronage.
