His Honour appreciatively referred to the remarkable successes, on which His Honour congratulated the Principal and staff, achieved by the College including six first classes in the Master's degree, the valuable research work done by the Principal and staff and the senior- scholars, and the enormous expansion which the College had shown in various directions, His Honour said the rapid strides made in the development of science study and the great demand for the same gave the lie to the reproach often hurled at education in India that it was too literary and not practical. It boasted of modern Biological and Physical Laboratories second to none in India.
