NEW DELHI, March 31 (UNI).-History repeated itself in Pakistan today when Gen. Yahya Khan, the Chief Martial Law Administrator, appointed himself President. But there was one difference. After being made Martial Law Administrator Gen. Ayub Khan had waited for 19 days before he overthrew President Iksander Mirza and assumed the Presidency. Gen. Yahya Khan waited for only six days. Three days after the bloodless coup of October 1958. Gen. Ayub Khan had said: “He (Mirza) had vague ideas. I have definite ideas.” When Gen. Ayub handed over power to Gen. Yahya Khan, Radio Pakistan reported that the President was going on three months’ leave.
