Muslim League and Reforms

THE old Punjab Muslim League, of which the Hon'ble  Mian Mohammad Shafi is the General Secretary, was lately called to account as to its attitude towards the parent body, on pain of being disaffiliated. The provincial body has now come out with a rejoinder charging the parent body with alleged unconstitutional acts, and passing certain resolutions on the subject of the post-war reform. So far as we are aware, this is the first time that a provincial body has made such claims. With the difficulties which the Punjab League may have had with the All India body, in the past or might be threatened with in the future, we are not concerned. All that concerns us is the views given expression to by Mr. Shafi's League and the weight that should attach them, in the face of the pronouncements of the Muslim League sub-committee.
