Patna, July 1 (UNI)—The 10-day-old Bhola Paswan Shastri Ministry resigned today following withdrawal of support to it by the 34-member Jan Sangh Legislative Party. Bihar Governor Nityanand Kanungo accepted the resignation of the Ministry and asked Mr. Shastri to continue in office till alternative arrangements were made. This is the second Ministry to fall in 12 days. Mr. Harihar Singh’s Ministry was voted out of power on June 20. Mr. Bhola Paswan announced in the State Assembly that his Government had lost majority following the withdrawal of support by the Jan Sangh. “I am not in a position to run the Government,” he said. Soon after the Chief Minister’s announcement, the Speaker, Mr. Ramnarian Mandal, adjourned the House sine die. The Jan Sangh is the second largest party of the United Front.
