IT is gratifying to learn that His Highness the Maharaja of Faridkot has made a princely cash donation of Rs. 12,000 to the building fund of that excellent institution for girls, the Sikh Kanya Mahavidyalya, Ferozpore city, which the Province owes to the efforts and selfless devotion of Bhai Takht Singh, the founder and manager of the institution. We mentioned only the other day how on one occasion the Bhai Sahib took a vow of exile from Ferozepore and did not return until he had secured the specified amount of Rs. 50,000 needed for building operations. The best form in which the Sikh ruling princes and the public can show their appreciation of the life-work of Bhai Takht Singh is by enabling him to complete his project of buildings for a college and a hostel for girls.
