SO the Satyagraha Campaign has begun in right earnest. Here is an Associated Press telegram from Bombay, dated April 7:—The Satyagraha Committee have advised that for the time being laws regarding prohibited literature and the registration of newspapers may be civilly disobeyed. A number of copies of “Hindu Swarajya,” the “Saravodya of Universal Dawn,” “The story of a Satyagrahi,” all by Mr. M.K. Gandhi and the Life and address of Mustafa Kamel Pasha were hawked about for sale this evening and found some ready buyers. The hawkers were all prominent Satyagrahis, among whom were Mr. Gandhi, Mrs. Naidu, Mr. Sohani, Mr. Lakhimidas Tairsee and others. All the books sold contained the signature of the hawker. A number of unregistered newspapers mostly resembling ordinary posters and leaflets, both in print and hand-writing in Gujarati, were also sold. Mr. Gandhi, the President and the Secretary of the Satyagraha Sabha have issued a long notice to regulate the sale.
