Three-day meet on sleep disorders

The third meet of the international conference on sleep disorders (ICSD-2017) is being held in the city from October 27-29 under the South East Asian Academy of Sleep Medicine (SEAASM). The conference will be hosted by the Association of Chest Physicians Punjab in coordination with Dr HJ Singh, chairman, Punjab Chapter, Indian Chest Society.
Dr HJ Singh, who is also the organising chairman of the conference, said sleep medicine in South East Asia is rapidly changing its trend from being unrecognised to being a multidisciplinary evidence-based medicine.
Renowned experts like Dr Mark Murphy, Dr David Kuhuns and Dr Anmol Kalha from the USA and Dr David Cunnington and Dr Milind Somani, sleep apnea specialists, are being associated as faculty members.
VP Badnore, Governor of Punjab, has been invited as the chief guest and will inaugurate the conference on October 27 whereas Brahm Mohindra, Health Minister, will preside over the function.
