Train’s engine catches fire in Gurgaon

The engine of a Rewari-bound passenger train caught fire at Garhi Harsaru village on Thursday
The train was coming from Delhi
Around 3:30 pm, passengers and the driver noticed smoke coming out from the engine
The driver initially tried to douse the fire, but later called the Gurgaon railway station
Officials reached the spot along with fire tenders
Many panic-stricken passengers jumped out of bogies
There were no casualties: "We are inquiring the reason behind the fire. Prima facia it appears to be case of short circuit," read a statement issued by the Gurgaon railway officials.
