Trials for swimming, water polo teams held at PAU

Several swimmers attended selection trials conducted by the District Swimming Association, Ludhiana, to choose the Ludhiana swimming teams (senior men and women) as well as men’s waterpolo squad at the PAU swimming pool here today.
Organising secretary of the association Ajay Sharma said the selection panel supervised the aspirants during trials. Those selected will take part in the 40th Senior Punjab Swimming and Water Polo Championship scheduled to be held from September 2 to 4 at PAU swimming pool. This year’s edition of the state championship is dedicated to the memory of business magnate from Ludhiana Abhey Oswal, who died on March 30, this year, said Balraj Sharma, honorary general secretary, DSAL.
