Various political leaders from Punjab, besides Brinda Karat, member of the poliburo of the CPI (M), gathered today to pay tribute to Pritam Kaur, wife of late Harkishan Singh Surjeet, general secretary of the CPI (M) and a stalwart of the Left movement in India.

The programme was organised at her village Bundala in Jalandhar district and was widely attended. In her condolence speech, Brinda Karat recalled the contribution of Pritam Kaur and the success of Harkishan Singh Sujeet.

Among the leaders present on the occasion were Pargat Singh, Avtar Singh Karimpuri, Rana Gurjeet and Paramjit Sidhwan.
