Trisha continued her rich vein of form to overcame Paavan in a closely contested girls (youth) final in the ongoing Prof RS Mehta Memorial Table Tennis Tournament at the Sector 23 TT Hall here today.

Trisha, who on Friday lifted the sub-junior title, won 3-2. 

Trisha won the opening game 11-7, but Paavan rallied to level the score in the next game (11-7). The former was again in the lead with an 11-8 finish in the third game.

Paavan fought back to pocket the next game 11-8, before Trisha got better of her in the decider (13-11) to win the title.  

Earlier, in the semifinals, Trisha beat Pareen 3-2 (6-11 12-10 7-11 13-11 11-6) while Paavan registered 3-0 (11-6, 11-6, 11-7) win over Nishtha.

Shaurya Gupta, meanwhile, outplayed Sarthak Thakur to win the boys (junior) title. 

Shaurya won 11-7 11-1 11-4.

He earlier beat Utharsh 3-1 (11-7 8-11 11-13 12-10) to confirm a berth in the final. Sarthak defeated Parnav 3-0 (13-11 11-8 11-8) in the semis.
