Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD) president Diwakar Bhatt today asserted that another agitation was needed in the state to realise the dreams of state agitation martyrs.
Addressing a press conference at the party office in Dehradun today, UKD president Diwakar Bhatt said though the state had been created 16 years ago, the state that was dreamt by state agitationists was still to be realized. “We need to carry out another agitation like one we saw for a separate state,” said Diwakar Bhatt, who is also a state agitationist.
He further accused the BJP and the Congress of fooling the people of Uttarakhand and working towards promoting liquor and mining mafia in the state. Responding to queries, Diwakar Bhatt held that he would shortly meet the Uttarakhand Chief Minister and urge him to withdraw cases registered against women for the current anti-liquor agitation in the state.
Earlier, new UKD president Diwakar Bhatt was given a warm welcome at the party office in Dehradun. Diwakar Bhatt also garlanded the statue of UKD founder Indermani Badoni at Clock Tower.
