Man, daughter killed

Pauri: A man and his daughter died, while three other members of the family got injured, when their car fell into a gorge in Rikhnikhal area of the district. The accident occurred around 1 pm near Chakhuliyakhal area, 22 km from Rikhnikhal market. Rikhnikhal police station in-charge Sunil Rawat said the Delhi-based family was on their way to Bironkhal village for a religious ceremony. The car fell into a 150-metre gorge, killing the man and his 16-year-old daughter on the spot. Three other members of the family, including two women, sustained injuries in the accident and were admitted to a hospital nearby, the police said. — PTI
