Senior engineer from the Korean company Jackie Kim has reached Tehri to oversee the work. Senior Congress leader and vice-president of the district construction advisory committee Shanti Bhatt gave the credit to Chief Minister Harish Rawat, who he said took up the issue seriously.

On the other hand, chief coordinator of the Dobra Chanti Pul Banao Samiti Rajeshwar Painuli said the government was misleading people as the final design of the bridge was yet to be approved by the competent authority and a detailed project report was also awaited. — TNS
